We can now confirm that there will be a second programme taking place in November this year. Industry partners are currently being finalised and we will be calling for applications in early September with interviews being scheduled for the end of the month. To register your interest in advance please click here. Participants will be paid a training allowance of £43 per day to attend the 4 week programme and there will be the potential for a follow up 12 week placement with one of the partners for four of the anticipated 16 participants.
This is what Lisa has to say about her experience on Northern Lights in May this year. “Before Northern Lights I knew very little about multi-platform content and now I will be working for a interactive gaming company in London. It is a job that I don’t think I would have been able to secure without the Multi-Platform Training that I recieved from Northern Lights. I will be managing the games content for an interactive TV channel called Echostar who broadcast via satelite Television in America. I will be getting real working experience in broadcasting, managing a channel, scheduling, sourcing content, games testing and will be responsible for producing the content for the channel. I don’t think I could have hoped for a better first break into the media industry. Moira also helped me in the lead up to my interview and I think this also ensured I was as prepared as possible for the questions they would ask me at the interview stage. The position is a fantastic start in both Television Production and in producing Multi-platform content.”
As leaders on the programme, Moira and I are very excited about the chance to run the programme again. Please contact us if you would like to be involved.
